FOUR GENERATIONS
In the early 1920s, Johan Adam Kunz (born Dec 31, 1890) started to farm on Kinko with his uncle, Frederick Nicolaas van As who had no heirs. Johan Adam Kunz’s only son, Albertus Johannes van As (born May 4, 1933), farmed with his father until his death in 1967. In the following years Albertus’ interest in the breeding of Merino sheep begun. Albertus’s sons, Johan (born 1963), joined the business in 1985 after which Dirkie (born 1970) in 1993. Johan’s sons, Albertus Johannes (AJ) born in 1994 and Johan Adam In 1997, joined the business in 2017 and 2019.
